City celebrates volunteerism with Movie under the Stars
Community volunteers will be treated to a unique, outdoor cinematic adventure at the annual Greater Sudbury Volunteer Celebration, Saturday, June 5 at Copper Cliff Park. This year’s festivities, which include a free BBQ, games and wagon rides around the park, will begin at 6:30 p.m., with the movie ‘Iron Man’ (shown on a giant, 40-foot screen) beginning at dusk. In the event of rain, activities will move indoors to the McClelland Arena. All volunteers are invited to attend. Attendees are reminded to bring blankets or lawn chairs for seating, and to please leave pets at home.
The Greater Sudbury Volunteer Celebration is sponsored by the new Rewind 103.9 FM, Hot 93.5 FM, Volunteer Sudbury, the City of Greater Sudbury, Le Loup 98.9, RBC, Centre de Santé communautaire du Grand Sudbury and the Sudbury Credit Union. Transportation to and from the event on Greater Sudbury Transit will be provided free of charge to attendees. Transit vouchers may be downloaded from www.hot935.ca or www.rewind1039.ca.
